My Undergraduate Journey
After graduating high school, I was set on pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering.
However, life had other plans and I found myself embarking on a journey in computer science.
Little did I know that this seemingly small change would completely shift the trajectory of my life. My college journey wasn't always easy, but it's what made me who I am today. I started out studying computer science, but soon realized that it wasn't exactly what I wanted to do. I felt lost and didn't know which path to take - a career as a software developer or continuing my education.
Why Information Security?
My journey in the tech industry started with a realization that coding and programming just weren't for me. I sought out new opportunities and stumbled upon the exciting world of information security. What started as a hobby in ethical hacking soon led me to explore different domains in the field, from penetration testing to security analysis.
But it was in security audit where I found my true calling. I discovered a passion for interacting with people and asking the tough questions to ensure processes were being followed properly. This led me to dive headfirst into the world of security risk and compliance, and I couldn't be happier with where it has taken me.
Moving to the United States
I want to be real with you guys. My journey to a master's degree wasn't always straightforward. I grew up in an educational environment where software development was the hot ticket, but it just wasn't for me. I wanted to try something new, something that did not directly deal with programming. And that's how I found myself on the path to audit, risk and compliance.
I decided of coming to the US, learning about this exciting field, and building a career for myself.
My Content Creation Journey
During the COVID-19 era, I stumbled upon my passion for content creation and teaching. I found my calling in breaking down complex information security principles and frameworks into easily understandable terms. It was then that I realized my true calling was to create content and spread awareness about these topics in a simple and approachable way. Whether it's explaining how DNS works or diving into the concept of encryption, I love making technical subjects accessible to all. And so, my content creation journey began.
​In 2020, my life took a major pivot when I stumbled upon a social media influencer who opened my eyes to a whole new world of possibilities.
As a prominent youth icon across India, Ankur Warikoo is not only an entrepreneur but also a visionary content creator. He shares his expertise on time management and life skills, inspiring the youth to take control of their lives.
​I realized that my passion for creating impactful presentations and videos was just the beginning. I aspired to reach a wider audience and that's when I discovered the game-changing platform of LinkedIn. With its powerful features, I was able to expand my personal brand, connect with like-minded individuals, and continuously grow my professional network.
As an IT audit analyst interning at Fidelity Investments, I embarked on a new journey in July 2022. During my search for resources to aid my IT audit pursuits, I was disappointed to find that the online world offered limited relatable information for those starting out in IT auditing and risk and compliance. The abundance of white papers, documentations, reports, and books felt overwhelming and disconnected from the real-world challenges faced in the field.

It lacked simplicity.

Determined to make a difference, I took matters into my own hands and decided to create a space where aspiring IT audit professionals could access relevant and practical information. Through my journey, I aim to bridge the gap and provide a relatable and comprehensive guide for those looking to excel in this field.
​Starting in October 2022, I began sharing my insights and expertise in the field of IT Audit Risk & Compliance through my curated content. My goal was to educate and inspire those just starting out, by offering a fresh perspective and relatable experiences.

The internet is full of information on every topic imaginable, but it's important to differentiate between copied information and genuine experience. I only share what I have personally experienced and learned, avoiding any information that I am not knowledgeable about.
